Biography

D.J. serves as an Assistant Professor of Practical Theology at Indiana Wesleyan University. He is passionate about joining God in His ministry of reconciliation. Driven by a desire to minister with excellence, D.J. completed his Doctor of Ministry in Church Leadership and Community Witness at Candler School of Theology. There he developed an interactive, seminar-style training to educate and equip church leaders for effective multiethnic discipleship. D.J. utilizes this training to empower church leaders and congregations in fulfilling the Great Commission.

Having served in diverse pastoral roles, including children's ministry, student ministry, refugee ministry, prison ministry, and special needs ministry, D.J. brings a wealth of experience to his role in the School of Theology and Ministry. His passion for the Global Church is evident by his extensive travels to Greece, Sudan, Vietnam, Israel/Palestine, Kosovo, and various other countries. D.J. not only explores the world personally but also leads travel-based classes, providing students with the enriching opportunity to study abroad. D.J. is a sought-after speaker who frequently preaches at youth camps, ministry conferences, and local churches.

D.J. is a familiar face at IWU's sporting events, where he can be found cheering alongside his wife (Sarah) and three kids (Jubilee, Benaiah, and Abel). Also, D.J. is a DJ!
