Transfer to IWU

Welcome, transfer students! We are glad to hear that you are considering Indiana Wesleyan University. We will work hard to make your transition a successful experience. Please use the below categories to guide you to the transfer information that meets your needs.

The College of Arts and Sciences is IWU's traditional, residential campus. Our campus is a Christ-centered community of just over 3,000 students jointly seeking excellence in academic life, spiritual life and social life. Located in Marion, Indiana, the University is a local community with a global view.

We believe that acquiring an education is about more than completing a degree. It is about creating mentoring relationships with professors and establishing lifelong relationships with peers. It is about more than just finding a school, but finding a place where you will live and grow in a microcosm of the body of Christ. Earning that degree is about more than just finding a job. It is about finding a God-given calling, and building academic excellence on a foundation of scriptural truth. The four-year collegiate journey is one that should take you through both triumph and testing, and forge you into what the Creator intended you to be.

The programs in this college are designed for working adults by combining theory with practical experience.

Whether the intent is to complete an associate degree, finish a bachelor's degree, prepare for special education licensure, enter the world of higher learning with a master's degree, pursue a doctoral degree or earn one of our many certificates, our Adult Education Programs are designed specifically for an adult's busy lifestyle. With Education Centers and learning sites throughout Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio, and many of our programs offered online, obtaining a college education has never been more convenient.

Apostille Request

Apostille is a French word meaning footnote, and it's an additional form of authentication given to a notarized document to certify that the document is a true copy of the original. Diplomas and transcripts can be given an Apostille.

Apostille Request Form

Purpose: The main purpose is to simplify the certification of documents (including notarized) to be used in countries that have joined the convention and streamline the process of transferring documents from one country to another. With the apostille, the document is entitled to recognition in the country of intended use and no other certification or authorization is required.

How It Works: The Office of the Registrar sends the documents to the Indiana Secretary of State who, in turn, sends the apostille documents to the country of intended use. Only those countries who participate in the Hague Convention of 5 October 1961 Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents can participate in the service.

The Office of the Secretary of State provides apostille and authentication service to U.S. citizens and foreign nationals for documents that will be used overseas.
