This December transcultural nursing trip focuses on the American Indian population. Partnering with World Gospel Mission, nursing students will be able to serve in various clinical sites on the Indiana reservations in the greater Phoenix area. Other highlights include a visit to Heard Museum, Ability 360, Joni and Friends, and a daytrip to Sedona, Arizona to see ancient ruins.

The focus of this trip is the Native Hawaiian/Polynesian culture. Students will have clinicals opportunities at various sites, most focusing on Complementary and Alternative Therapies. Time is split between the islands of Oahu and the Big Island. Cultural opportunities include Iolani Palace, Polynesian Cultural Center, Pearl Harbor, and more. This is a once in a lifetime trip for nursing students.

Spend your Spring Break completing your Transcultural Nursing Requirement in Jamaica! Students enrolled in NUR400L will be spending time in the Port Maria Infirmary. Also, students will be participating in a health screening day in the community of Highgate. Learn what nursing looks like practically in a cross-cultural context.
