Faculty Profile
Alyssa Ford is an Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy in the Occupational Therapy Doctoral Program. Dr. Ford received her B.S. from Marian College, M.O.T. and D.H.Sc. from University of Indianapolis.
Dr. Ford co-authored the Functional Cognitive Assessment© and is a recipient of the 2015 Alzheimer’s Association Greater Indiana Chapter Early Investigator Scholarship for Dementia Research and Study. She also received the American Occupational Therapy Association Young Scientist Theater award for her doctoral research.
Dr. Ford serves in various leadership roles for therapy organizations, currently President of the Board of Directors for the Allen Cognitive Network.
She has served at IUPUI School of Health and Human Sciences as an adjunct faculty. She has expertise in the assessment and treatment of adults with physical and cognitive comorbidities who reside in community-based settings.
