Chris Williams is an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering for the Division of Mathematics, Engineering, and Computer Sciences. He earned a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Civil Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Williams’ technical and research interests are centered on structural engineering with specific focus on the design and behavior of reinforced and prestressed concrete structures. He has been a part of several large-scale structural testing programs. He enjoys bringing practical instruction to the classroom as he teaches the next generation of engineers.

Prior to joining IWU, he was a faculty member at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
