Faculty Profile
David King has been working in the social work field for 30 years providing services in church, community, and private practice settings. Dr. King holds a Doctorate in Social Work from Walden University in Social Work Administration, a Master's in Social Work from the University of Kentucky, and a Master's in Pastoral Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary. He is a licensed clinical social worker in Michigan.
Over the course of his career, Mr. King has worked with children and families and individuals with developmentally disabilities, chronic mental illness, and substance use, and co-occurring disorders.
Dr. King has been teaching social work at the graduate level since 2009 and is currently the Program Director for the MSW program online.
Dr. King’s interests include integration of social work and Christian faith, ethics, and outcomes driven social work practice.
