Faculty Profile
Dr. Jessica Huff, an Associate Professor and Family Nurse Practitioner, has a wide range of experience in the nursing field. She has been employed with Indiana Wesleyan University since 2018.
Dr. Huff began her nursing career as a nursing assistant on a medical-surgical unit while in nursing school, eventually moving to the Intensive Care Unit as a new RN grad. After relocating to a new city, she began working for the Cleveland Clinic Foundation as a RN in the out-patient float pool, getting the opportunity to work in a variety of settings such as the cancer center, interventional radiology, dialysis unit, colorectal surgery and more, gaining great experiences and exposure.
As an FNP, Dr. Huff has worked in a variety of settings including family practice in a Federally Qualified Health Center serving in the inner city as part of the National Health Service Corp, internal medicine, urgent care, and currently, occupational medicine.
Originally from Wheelersburg, OH, Dr. Huff completed her undergraduate degrees from Shawnee State University (RN) in Portsmouth, OH and Ohio University (BSN) in Athens, OH. She then moved to Cleveland, OH and completed her Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN) from Case Western Reserve University. In 2022, Dr. Huff completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Otterbein University in Columbus, OH.
Her interests outside of academia include traveling, cooking, sewing, reading, anything outdoors, sports, fishing, scuba diving, and general aviation with her family.
