Mark Perry

Modern Language Literature and Communication

Ph.D.

Dr. Perry is a professor, broadcaster and independent producer. He has extensive professional experience in radio broadcasting, including WMBI-FM/WMBI in Chicago in a variety of positions. These positions included morning show producer, fill-in news and hosting his own Saturday morning show.

Prior to coming to IWU, Dr. Perry taught at Moody Bible Institute and Waynesburg University. His current scholarly interests focus on the intersection of journalism and public policy, as well as audio narrative storytelling. 

Why did you decide to teach at IWU?

I was attracted to IWU primarily due to the Division of Communication & Theatre faculty. 

Hobbies:

I enjoy cycling, watching Chicago Cubs baseball and traveling with my wife.

Advice for a prospective student:

Take advantage of what we offer and be involved every semester in what we’re doing and in your major.
