Mary Jacobs

Mary Jacobs joined the Indiana Wesleyan University family in August 2004. She is an Assistant Professor in the Athletic Training department. In addition, she serves as the head athletic trainer. She earned her bachelor's degree from Indiana University and her master's degree from Western Michigan University. She worked in the outpatient rehabilitation clinical setting and did high school athletic training outreach for nine years before coming to IWU.

INTERESTS

Mary has interest in the rehabilitative process of athletic injuries, biomechanics, and human movement. She maintains professional memberships with the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). She is a Certified Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification, and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA. She is also a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner through the Kinesio Taping Association.
