Michelle Hawk

Modern Language Literature and Communication

M.Ed.

Professor Michelle Hawk brings over 20 years of diversified teaching experience to her role, specializing in the fields of Modern Language and Literature. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Secondary Education (2001) and a Master of Education (2006) from Indiana Wesleyan University. Her academic journey led her initially to roles in middle school education, where she taught Language Arts from 2001 to 2006.

In 2007, Michelle ventured into higher education, initially contributing to Indiana Wesleyan University's Continuing Adult Professional Studies (CAPS) program before transitioning to a traditional campus setting four years later. Currently, she is responsible for instructing composition, literature, and English Education courses and serves as a supervisor for student teachers and junior practicum students in IWU's School of Teacher Education and as an adjunct instructional designer for IWU National & Global designing online courses and materials.

Michelle is excited to guide her students in their pursuit of academic and spiritual growth, embodying her passion for education and her commitment to fostering lifelong learning.
