Dr. Yang Zhao serves as an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering in the Division of Mathematics, Engineering, and Computer Sciences at Indiana Wesleyan University. He received both his Ph.D. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Cleveland State University in Ohio, and his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Shenyang University of Technology in Liaoning, China.

Dr. Zhao's expertise includes control systems for electric machines, power systems, and surface vehicles. After completing graduate school, he felt called to teach within Christian higher education. He teaches a wide range of subjects, including electrical engineering, computer engineering, general engineering, physics, and mathematics.

His teaching experience spans electric circuits, electronic circuits, digital circuits, microprocessor systems, electromagnetics, signal and systems, control systems, computer programming, computer-aided design tools, and senior design projects.

He explores the integration of Christian faith and electrical engineering and enjoys sharing his insights with students in the classroom.
