Equipping 8th Graders at Wildcat Jr.

Wildcat Junior aims to introduce 8th graders to foundational work and career readiness, as well as personal finance concepts. During this one-day event, students will explore their career interests and opportunities, while understanding financial roles and responsibilities, in addition to an IWU campus tour.

The curriculum covers career planning, stressing the significance of self-awareness in decision-making, relevant post-high school education to support those decisions, and generating sufficient income to meet wants and needs. Students also identify and cultivate transferable skills, valuable across various careers, and learn about managing expenses and establishing personal financial priorities.
