Early Childhood Teacher Training

Prepare to serve the educational and social needs of early learners through a bachelor’s degree in early childhood specialization. Gain the skills you need to develop early childhood programs, along with assessment tools for learning progress.

Elementary Teacher Training

Develop your approach to teaching in elementary school settings—from classroom management to instructional techniques and more through this elementary teaching degree online program. Wondering what degree do you need to be an elementary teacher? This concentration path can position you to pursue entry to teaching roles in a number of elementary school settings.

Elementary Teacher Training – Elementary Education

Focus your learning on teaching in elementary school settings through an online elementary teaching degree concentration. The elementary school teacher degree focus builds out foundational skills in key areas from curricular and instructional approaches to teaching diverse student populations. This program leads to Indiana licensure in elementary education.

Secondary Teacher Training

Prepare to impact student outcomes in a variety of secondary learning environments. From classroom management to adolescent development, the concepts you’ll learn can make you a better educator both stateside and overseas.

Individualized

What is integrative studies? The integrative studies program is an opportunity to make the most of your aspirations through a degree you customize to fit your learning and career interests and goals. This degree concentration lets you do just that to prepare you to pursue a number of fields of study and/or practice.

Tuition and fees for prerequisites and required elective courses are in addition to the charges shown on the program cost sheet. Your tuition rate will remain the same as long as you remain continuously enrolled in the same program. Program Requirements
  • Proof of high school graduation or GED certification.
  • Original transcripts from all previous college or university study at college or university that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by both the U.S. Department of Education (ED) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  • Prior completion of at least 60 transferable credit hours is required before the student is eligible to start a bachelor core program. A maximum of 40 credit hours may be earned through the assessed learning process toward the required 60.
  • Completion of 120 semester hours.
  • Overall cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • Completion of concentration or minor requirements with a GPA of 2.25 or higher.
  • Completion of 30 semester hours of general education requirements as specified or by transferred academic category equivalents.
  • Completion of 30 semester hours of upper-level courses (300-400 level).
  • Payment of all tuition and fees is required to receive a diploma.
Concentration or Minor Requirements
  • Twenty-one semester hours in concentration area or minor with a GPA of 2.25.
  • Fifteen hours of the concentration or minor must be completed at IWU.
