Chapel Auditorium

The state-of-the-art Chapel-Auditorium comfortably seats 3,800 people and is perfect for worship activities, formal ceremonies and musical performances.

Phillippe Auditorium

The modern, yet classic elegance of Phillippe Auditorium makes this the perfect meeting place for large gatherings. This 1,150-seat acoustically paneled auditorium provides an excellent atmosphere for concerts, rallies, cultural opportunities and educational events.

Black Box Theatre

This contemporary theater is located in the Phillippe Performing Arts Center. It contains 100 seats and offers an excellent location for stimulating dramatic performances.

Baker Recital Hall

This exquisite room is also located in the Phillippe Performing Arts Center and seats 175 people. The architecture of this room provides an ideal location for intimate interaction and smaller concerts or meetings.fers an excellent location for stimulating dramatic performances.

Student Center Banquet Rooms

Versatile space can host large or small fine dining events at round tables seating up to 200, or barracks-style seating up to 300. For audience-style seating we can accommodate up to 500 guests.

Globe Theatre

Conveniently located in the Barnes Student Center, this theater provides an excellent venue for featuring movies, lectures or formal presentations for audiences up to 200 people.

Campus Dining Options

Located in the Barnes Student Center, the Baldwin Dining Room pleasantly accommodates all of your dining needs. Our food service, contracted through Pioneer College Caterers, provides a wide variety of cafeteria-style food three times daily. Various menus are created to make each dining experience pleasing and enjoyable.

The dining service staff is equally committed to meeting your needs and requests whenever possible - from catered receptions and banquets, to outdoor barbecues.

Additionally, you may have access to our fabulous snack shops including Chick-fil-A Express, Wings & Tots, Mario's Pizza and Grinders, Wild Wok, Casa del Gato Café, Brickyard Burgers & Fries, and the 42nd Street Deli.&

Campus Lodging Options

Event and conference guest housing is available from early May through July. All rooms are furnished with comfortable beds, desks, chairs, dressers and built-in closet space. Some rooms also include refrigerators, stoves and microwaves. Other amenities include air conditioning, semi-private bathrooms shared with no more than three other people, and free high-speed Internet access.

Guest Services Information

An ATM is available in the Barnes Student Center, next to the Information Desk in the main thoroughfare.

All guests will be issued a meal card or wristband in order to access Baldwin for meals. A $10 replacement charge will be assessed for lost or non-returned cards.

Baldwin is located in the Barnes Student Center and is open each day for breakfast (7-8 a.m.), lunch (12-1 p.m.), and dinner (5-6 p.m.). Hours may vary depending on group needs. 

Please consult your conference schedule for your exact meal times.

The bookstore, which sells a variety of Indiana Wesleyan University souvenirs, books, music, gifts, and snack items, is located on the first floor of the Barnes Student Center and is typically open Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Summer hours may vary.

The Campus Police Department provides a safe and secure campus for our students, staff, and guests. All Campus Police Officers are officers with the Grant County Sherriff's Department and have graduated from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. They undergo continual training and updating through the Sherriff's Department.

The Campus Police office is located on the east side of the Barnes Student Center. They can be reached at 765-677-4911.

All academic buildings on campus as well as the Chapel Auditorium, the Phillippe Performing Arts Center, the Barnes Student Center, and the Recreation and Wellness Center have full wireless coverage.

All residence halls have partial wireless coverage (in the lobby and common spaces). Some residence hall rooms may have wireless coverage; however, an Ethernet cord will be required in most residence hall rooms.

Outdoor wireless coverage is available on the west side of the Barnes Student Center.

Guests do not need a login/password to access IWU-WiFi.

Washers and dryers are located on each floor of every residence hall and in all townhouses. While there is no charge to use the machines, guests must provide their own laundry supplies.

Pillows, blankets, and linen packs (containing 2 sheets, a pillowcase, 2 bath towels, a hand towel, a washcloth, and a bar of soap) are available through Event & Conference Services for $15.

The cost for a linen pack will be added to the Event Sponsor's final invoice so please request a linen pack with your group's leadership, not Event & Conference Services directly.

If you have lost an item, please check first with your group's leadership to see if the item has been turned in. Any item found that is unidentifiable to an owner and thus cannot be returned to a group's leadership will be logged at the Information Desk in the Barnes Student Center and kept for 60 days. Likewise, if you find an item, you may drop it off at the Information Desk.

Mail Services is located on the west side of the Barnes Student Center and provides the same services as available at a U.S. Post Office.

The summer hours are Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Guest mail and packages are delivered to the Event & Conference Services Office to be delivered to the conference headquarters for each conference.

McConn Coffee Company is a quaint corner cafe, popular with coffee drinkers and non-coffee drinkers alike. McConn is located on the west side of the Barnes Student Center and is typically open Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

In addition, McConn will be open some evenings and weekends, depending on conference needs.

There are three sand volleyball courts on campus (between East and South Lodges and between Evans and Hodson Halls). There is also a basketball court between Evans and Hodson Halls.

No equipment is provided for use in these areas.

Parking in all lots on campus is free to registered guests. All parking rules and regulations must be followed while on campus. Any citations issued by Campus Police need to be paid by the conference guest prior to the end of the conference.

Copies may be made in the Event & Conference Services Office for $.10 per copy.

Faxes may be sent or received from the Event & Conference Services Office or the Post Office. The charge for receiving a fax is $.50 per page. The charge for sending a fax is $1.00 for the first page and $.50 for each additional page.

These services are only offered during normal business hours.

The Recreation and Wellness Center is available to conference guests during open hours each day. A meal card and/or room key serves as the pass to access the Recreation and Wellness Center.

Guests may use the Intramural Gyms, Indoor Track, and the Racquetball Courts if not reserved for another group. Equipment may be checked out at the front desk.

Guests must be 16 or older to use the Fitness Room and 18 or older to use the Weight Room.

The Recreation and Wellness Center is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m .-1 p.m. Hours are subject to change.

Each guest will be issued a key that will provide them access only to the residence hall where they are staying. The key will open the exterior door as well as the individual suite/room door.

Guests staying in Kem Hall or Scripture Hall will also be provided a key fob.

Please report lost keys to Event & Conference Services immediately. A $45 fee will be assessed for lost or non-returned keys/key fobs.

Trader James is a quick-stop shop that offers pre-packaged snacks and beverages.

Wildcat Express (which includes Chick-fil-A Express) is a food court with a variety of food options.

Both are located on inside of the Barnes Student Center, along the main thoroughfare and have fluctuating summer hours depending on the number of guests on campus.

The Williams Prayer Chapel is available for private reflection, mediation, and prayer. The Chapel is not able to be reserved by groups as its purpose is to be a quiet place for prayer and mediation for all at any time.

University Policies and Guidelines

For the safety, protection, and enjoyment of all guests, as well as for the protection and stewardship of the facilities and grounds at IWU, the following policies and guidelines have been instated. We would appreciate your help in ensuring these guidelines and policies are followed.

  • The posted speed limit on campus is 20 mph unless otherwise noted.
  • Pedestrians have the right of way at all times, even to bicycles, rollerblades, and skateboards.
  • IWU is a smoke-free, alcohol-free, and drug-free campus.
  • The use, possession, or storage of hoverboards, Swagways, IO Hawks, Skywalkers, and similar devices is prohibited in IWU facilities and on IWU property.
  • Fireworks, firecrackers, and similar explosives are prohibited by state law and therefore prohibited on campus.
  • Firearms, ammunition, knives, martial arts weapons, and hunting bows/arrows are not permitted on campus.
  • Candles and incense are not to be used in any lodging accommodations. The use of candles in any other building must be approved by the Event & Conference Services Office.
  • Glitter, confetti, and other similar items may not be used on campus without authorization from the Event & Conference Services Office. Excessive housekeeping charges may be incurred for the clean-up of these items.
  • The use of electrical appliances is limited because of sanitation, safety, and circuit overload. The use of microwaves, open-coiled appliances, hot plates, toasters, electric frying pans, crock pots, and similar appliances is prohibited in residence halls. Appliances allowed in rooms include coffee makers, hot air popcorn poppers, hairdryers, curling irons, irons, etc. All approved appliances must bear the American UL or Canadian SA Underwriter's Laboratory seal of approval. All appliances not in use should be unplugged.
  • Anyone tampering with the fire alarm systems or fire protection equipment will be charged $100 and may be dismissed from the University. Legal charges may follow.
  • Any food kept in lodging accommodations needs to be kept in sealed containers.
  • University equipment, furniture, plants, etc. shall not be dismantled, used for purposes other than intended, removed from the building, or moved from one room to another without authorization from the Event & Conference Services Office.
  • Attaching any object to the University premises by nail, screw, tape, or any adhesive that stains, alters, or damages the premise without specific arrangements with the Event & Conference Services Office is prohibited.
  • Pets are not permitted on campus. The only exceptions are for service animals - prior approval must be secured from the Event & Conference Services Office.
  • Practical jokes using water or any liquid substance, shaving cream, silly string, or the like are not permitted in or near University property or facilities.
  • Sunbathing is not permitted on campus.
  • The University observes a modest dress code policy. Clothing should not be immodest, provocative, or call undue attention to one's self. The University's dress code policy is provided to each Event Sponsor.
  • All signage and postings on campus must be approved in advance by the Event & Conference Services Office.
  • The University assumes no responsibility and does not provide insurance or any financial protection for the personal property of guests. It is recommended that all guests secure personal items prior to leaving any room.
