As of September 30, 2021, $8,849,392 of said funding received under ARP has been disbursed to students as emergency financial aid grants. The remaining $204,067 will be distributed to students in future terms.

An estimated 11,945 students were determined to be eligible for the Higher Education Emergency Relief funding under the ARP. Indiana Wesleyan University used a formula based on information received from the FAFSA to determine students who demonstrated exceptional need. The FAFSA was also used to determine an expected family contribution (EFC) cutoff. 6648 students were identified as demonstrating exceptional need. Undergraduate students below an initial EFC cutoff received a $1800.00 grant, and Graduate students within this initial EFC cutoff received an $800.00 grant.
